Graduate Admission Requirements
You may apply for a Graduate program if you have earned the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree.
The graduate admission application to Cal State Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV is a two part process. You must meet the requirements of both the university and the graduate department to be considered for admission.
Check the Requirements below:
- Have the equivalent of a minimum 2.5 GPA. Some graduate departments have higher GPA requirements.
- Have the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor's degree. If you were educated outside of the U.S., you must have earned a degree equivalent to a 4-year U.S. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Some graduate departments may consider highly qualified candidates with 3-year bachelor’s degrees that have been evaluated by WES. See Q4 of the International Admissions FAQ for a list of programs that may consider 3-year degrees.
- Some graduate programs require additional test scores (such as GRE or GMAT) or supplemental documents as part of their admission process. When these documents are required, they must be submitted directly to the department by whichever means they specify (e.g. some departments collect materials via Cal State Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV 4th quadrant; some departments require that letters of recommendation be emailed to the department, etc.)
- Visit the Graduate Program page for a list of Cal State Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV program/department websites to verify departmental admission requirements for your desired program.
- Contact the Graduate Department if you have questions about their academic requirements and deadlines.
- Please note: Some Graduate Departments have earlier deadlines than the standard International Admissions deadline.
