Financial Resources


The California Dream Act allows eligible undocumented students to receive California State sponsored financial aid. Qualifying students can be eligible for certain types of state financial aid such as CSU scholarships and grants, Cal Grants, Chafee Foster Youth Grants and other state financial aid. Students must have an Ab540 Affidavit on file with the Admissions Department in order to qualify for State Aid. 

Students will need to complete the California every year to determine continuing eligibility for state and institutional aid. The annual deadline to submit is March 2nd each year. Funds, known as the California Dream Loan, are limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Students of Cal State Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV should also complete and submit the form in order to begin a review of your eligibility.

If you have a Dream Act Application on File, email the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships if you are interested in applying for the Dream Loan

How to retrieve form:
Click on Download Forms
In the school name search bar type California State University (Dream Loans)
Select and click Continue
Click Show School Forms

ECSI will begin accepting the forms on February 27, 2020.  

All male students under the age of 26 (regardless of immigration status) MUST register with the Selective Service to remain eligible for financial aid. 

If you identified as a Male anywhere on your FAFSA or California Dream Act Application you MUST register with Selective Service.

If you have a Social Security Number (SSN) from Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals ; if not,  register at a .

Scholarships that do not require a social security number, DACA, U.S. residency, or citizenship are available to undocumented students. Students are encouraged to apply for as many scholarships as possible. Note that many scholarships require a 'Financial Need' statement in place of a FAFSA/CADAA application.
