California CRM Job Fair

Grand Lake Room

Cal State Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV's C. E. Smith Museum of Anthropology and UC Berkeley's Archaeological Research Facility (ARF) are co-hosting a California CRM Job Fair, as part of this year's 2023 Society for California Archaeology (SCA) conference. Over 20 CRM firms, agencies, and parks are registered, and their representatives are eager to talk to graduate and undergraduate students about their prospects in the industry. The job fair will include a "resume help desk" space tended by seasoned professionals from various firms to workshop resumes and help candidates understand typical CRM hiring processes and regulations.

The Foodways Experience

Fruitvale Room

The C. E. Smith Museum of Anthropology at Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV invites you to take a seat at our table, opening yourself to observe and understand foodways practices across the Americas and learn what you can do to get involved in food justice and food sovereignty efforts. This one-day-only exhibit brings together examples of indigenous and industrial food practices from around California and the United States, past and present, with an eye toward equity and reparation. Please join us there on Saturday, March 18 to exchange seeds at our traveling seed bank, produce foodways zines at our Foodways Zine Stop, observe and handle real adobe (mud-brick) ovens, discover what ails acorns while learning to grind them, and discuss migrant farmworkers’ rights.
