…convening regularly to prioritize development of a strategic community engagement plan based on campus input; completing a mapping project to ensure a comprehensive and systemwide approach

 Fairly recruit and retain faculty and staff by taking actions like…

…allocating faculty positions and proactively marketing to strong candidates from all groups; create an equitable hiring process by training search committees in fair processes for all candidates; and update policies to reflect these goals

Eliminate unfairness for all community members in policies and practices by taking actions like…

…developing a rubric and establishing a committee to review all policies and procedures in policy inventory for unfairness; revising course evaluation tool to increase fairness to faculty being evaluated; and reviewing and improving courses where completion gaps exist for any subgroup of students

Foster engaging teaching practices and work environment by taking actions like…

…allocating funding for course content redesign for more effective teaching methods for all students; launching more robust and well-marketed cultural month events, open to all community members; and providing training for all supervisors and other university leaders on how to create and maintain a positive an engaging campus culture for all
