Women in Leadership (WIL) and the College of Business and Economics are proud to present the Power Your Purpose: Women in Leadership Forum for 2025. This year’s theme will be “Leading for Sustainability” and will be held on International Women’s Day on March 8th.

The forum will host workshops led by academic and industry leaders, a WIL Data Summit presented by OSCAR Winners on global sustainability trends and corporate responsibility, and you will have a chance to meet the firms leading the way in sustainable careers here in the Bay Area.

The panel, “Sustainability and Fast Fashion” will host three speakers with hands-on experience in the fashion industry. The panel will be led by 鶹AV Alumna , whose journey into fashion first started with a corporate internship while a student at Cal State 鶹AV. With a 25-year career at companies like The North Face, Hunt has since co-founded the , a resource group dedicated to fostering female career and leadership development.

Also on the panel will be , a UC Berkeley and Fashion Institute of Technology Grad who, after 25 years as a creative director for the likes of Nike, Levi’s, and the North Face, has become a pioneer in the digital transformation of the Fashion Industry. With her work encouraging the use of 3D modeling in development, as well as enabling shifts in sustainability, Francisco was awarded Gap Inc.’s “Game Changing Innovation Award for Digital Production Creation.” She has also had a key role in the advancement of the Women's Empowerment network.

The third speaker will be Senior Environmental Engineer K. Daily who, with over 5 years of experience in driving sustainability initiatives across both public and private sectors, will speak on her specialization in greenhouse gas accounting, renewable energy procurement, and circular economy frameworks. With her previous research in the sustainability of supply chains in Asia and Africa, Daily currently leads sustainability initiatives for a global supply chain company.

Finally, to combat the waste generated by the fast fashion industry, the WIL Forum is sponsoring a clothing exchange, asking attendees to bring in clothing items in good condition that someone else can wear to work and encouraging anyone to take something they can use instead of buying something new!
